I built a house. In case you don't believe me, which would be understandable, here are some photos:

So that's it then. Except it really isn't at all -- before we even had the open house celebration, we'd begun a new place. It's nothing but a foundation. Tomorrow we pour basement floor. Then it's framing time. And framing time is awesome. It's the romantic image people always get of building a house. You don't daydream about mudding drywall seams or setting doors two or three times (like I did today). In your dreams you're swinging a hammer with a wooden handle, raising walls with arms that never get tired.
Rest assured, it is cool. But your arms do get tired.
